<description>Thank you for the site Sandra
.Being so far from gene pools it is very hard to get sound Balanced dogs to breed from.
Having been around cjhows since 1978 the breed its self has changed so much
It is only the Weathy that can import seamen of Dogs to this country or Australia.
The older breeders who contributed spoke much sense about Standard etc
After attending the 100th show I came home Jealous that you have so many gene pools to use.
Keep up the good work on chows and with so much input our breed will continue to floursh.
Greeting to you all

<description>&quot;Bob: If you read the standard with care you will notice that balance is a theme.&quot; - Yes.

An important theme indeed. Typey temperament and construction sure makes it possible to act as follows

&quot;Minnie: The Chow historically is a working breed. They must have legs.  In Canada when I go cross country skiing after a snowfall there is nothing more beautiful than to have one of my Chows out in front breaking a trail for me!&quot;

also for a fairly heavy boned chow.

Most interesting reading. Thank you all.</description>

It is very interesting and important to learn about the breed and its improvement.
Moving, balance, structure and pedigree is the preferences to breed better.

<description>Thanks a million for sharing. This is very interesting.

For years in the FCI (The Fédération Cynologique Internationale) countries the Chow Chow has been a part of group five - Spitz and Primitive types. This group is comparable to your Northern Group. It is my believe, that we are better of here. The Chow Chow is originally a working dog - and it still should be as nothing is better than when they are allowed to. In Denmark they have been used for sledging and blood trailing which they are fantastically clever to. And a healthy Chow is almost impossible to wear out. Aiming for a healthier Chow Chow, this is a step in the right direction.

I&#039;m just loving your thoughts of the Global Arena. Today this is very important - we have to stick together in the work of preserving and improving a sound, healthy Chow Chow that lives a long life with his family.

To Yvette - happy for your CCCI Chow Health Website, which I frequently visit. :o)

<description>This was a great seminar. Wish it could have been longer. Discussion got off track a couple of times, but all was important discussion. This seminar should be done every year and everyone strongly encouraged to attend.

Thanks Paula for such an indepth right up.

Sandy you were missed.
